School project made in groups during 8th semester, Designing Urban Mobility.
Redesign of the existing Aalborg Vestby Station, Denmark, in order to facilitate the implementation of a future light rail train stop at the station.
Analysis of the surrounding environment and prospects of the area’s future conditions, combined with various theories regarding urban mobility and a set of design parameters, where a design concept inspired by a tree emerged, the new design of Aalborg Vestby Station invites the locals to take ownership of the space through a number of interventions and functions, but at the same time it meets the needs of foreigners and tourists. In this sense, the design welcomes everyone at Aalborg Vestby Station.
